The Ceres United Methodist and The Shinglehouse United Methodist Churches make up the Ceres/Shinglehouse Charge. While maintaining our individual integrity we agree to function as a charge and serve the Lord and his ministry in the lower Oswayo Valley. Our vision is to spread the word of God to both the churched and unchurched of our area. We set the following goals and objectives to help us accomplish this vision. To build up and strengthen our children’s ministries so that all the young people of the area will have the opportunity to meet and come to know our Lord Jesus Christ. To develop a strong youth group. This will provide the youth of the Oswayo Valley with the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ while providing a support group to counter the peer pressure they must face during this formulative time in their lives. To create adult ministries to fill the needs of the people of our area. This includes but is not limited to young adults, singles, couples and senior ministries. To create out-reach ministries and programs that permit us to make new contacts and develop relationships with those people not associated with any church. To continue to spread the Love of Christ and the warmth of our church families to all those in our area.
